Grandparents Day/New Hope,PA with the Family 9/12/10

I love New Hope, PA with a passion. Every time I go there, I find new and fun things to photograph. Below are the shots from Sept. 12, 2010. Can't wait to see what pictures my next visit will produce. This is the 2nd set of photos this summer. I may go there again when my sister Maureen is here in October.

Never really noticed this mural before. Love it. It's on a building with a really cool restaurant on the ground level.

The doors from the original first jail in New Hope.

I like the look of this building.

Suit of armor in front of the Medeival store.

Also in front of the Medeival store. There's also a Harley biker jacket section in the store.

Entry way with vines. Cooooooool!!!!!

Tree through the roof of the restaurant. Where's the top?

Cigar store indian.

Statue in front of indian themed art store.

Spider whose body is an army helmet in front of an art store.

Peace!!!!!

The canal is dredged and the folks of New Hope are waiting for water to fill it. It isn't happening 'cause we've had no rain.

An anchor for the ropes of the barges that used to travel up and down the canal before it was drained. I hope that someday, they will bring the mules and barges back to New Hope. It's an educational ride and great sightseeing. All they need is rain, rain, and more rain.
I've never known nor do I know now, what this is supposed to be. Couldn't find a plaque explaining what it is. Anyone? I'll have to do a Google search.

This nutcracker stands in front of the Christmas store that is open year round.

Weenie World. Antonio always begs me to go to Weenie World. Here he is getting ready to savor his dog. In an earlier post, I have a picture of the sign outside of Weenie World.

The Weenie lady!

Stacy and I decided we should try Weenie World hot dogs too. Anita did not indulge. She's a vegetarian. However, they do offer vegetarian dogs on their menu.

Another cool building.

New Hope has it all. Even a totem pole.

John & Peters'. Very famous in New Hope. The street in front of here is usually filled with motorcycles. It's a biker hang out, mellow crowd for bikers. It occurred to me that I did not see one hog on the street. I guess Friday night and Saturdays are the cruisin days for bikers. Sunday must be their day off.

From Weenie World to Spatola's. Pizza for Anita, Stacy and Antonio. Antonio was super hungry.

All the pizza Antonio is carrying is not just for him. He's playing waiter.

Liked the fountain. Also the bike. The water is coming out of the mouth of a fish. At first glance it may appear that it is coming from another place. haha

This lantern is in the front window of Wildflowers restaurant. I hope to eat at Wildflowers one day soon. They have a beautiful garden terrace.

These pictures were really neat. If you looked straight at them, they looked normal. If you moved off center, even a little, they looked gruesome.

A balcony overlooking the canal.

Cute little store attached to the building that houses a store that sells dominatrix clothing.

The bust is so cool. It looked real, the head and the hand. Since the store was closed, we couldn't find out if it was made of wax or another medium. In a 2nd picture that I took of it, Anita, Stacy and Antonio can be seen reflected in the glass. We didn't recognize the man. Anyone?
